Wood Group, an international energy services company based out of the U.K., has appointed Jan Dell vice president of clean energy. Based in Houston, where she will lead a team of 350 people globally, Dell will build on Wood Group’s existing renewables technical services, consulting and advisory capabilities.

She will also lead the broadening of services into adjacent sectors – namely, water and climate, together with a geographic expansion of existing services.

According to Wood Group, Dell brings more than two decades of extensive experience in the energy, industrial, water and climate sectors. Prior to joining Wood Group, she held senior strategy and management positions with AECOM, CH2M Hill and ConocoPhillips. Dell is currently vice chair of the U.S. Federal Advisory Committee for the Sustained National Climate Assessment and was convening lead author of the Energy Supply and Use Chapter of the U.S. National Climate Assessment report, published in April 2014.

“Wood Group’s expertise across the spectrum of energy resources and value chain is a dynamic platform to advance the global energy transition that is underway,” comments Dell. “I’m pleased to join the launch of the clean energy group and bring my passion for progress to the enterprise.”
