The Women of Wind Energy, a renewable energy nonprofit that promotes the education, professional development and advancement of women, voted to appoint Abby Arnold, Elizabeth Salerno and Rachael Elliot to its board of directors during the organization's spring board meeting in Washington, D.C.
As vice president and senior mediator of Kearns & West, Arnold brings more than 20 years of experience advising public- and private-sector leaders on policy development, and designing and facilitating policy dialogues in the energy arena. Abby has designed and managed three renewable energy collaboratives: the National Wind Coordinating Collaborative, Geothermal Collaborative and American Wind Wildlife Institute, where she is now executive director.
Elliott is corporate segment director of alternative energy for Eaton Corp., a global diversified industrial manufacturer. In this role, she is responsible for global coordination of Eaton's strategy across the renewable energy markets for wind, solar and hydropower.
Salerno is the director of industry data and analysis for the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) and has been with the organization since 2005. She manages the data and analytical agendas for AWEA, including energy sector statistics, wind market economics, wind project and manufacturing data, green jobs, market forecasts, wind energy benefits and effects of policy options on wind industry market growth.
