Wisconsin Public Service Corp. (WPSC), a Green Bay, Wis.-based subsidiary of Integrys Energy Group Inc., and Escondido, Calif.-based enXco Development Corp., an EDF-Energies Nouvelles company, are negotiating a transaction that would allow WPSC to purchase a 99 MW wind power facility sited in Howard County, Iowa.
The two companies are currently performing due diligence and negotiating commercial terms and conditions for the construction and sale of the project. The parties expect to reach an agreement before the end of the year.
‘Early in October, we plan to file for regulatory approval to purchase the project, pending a successful outcome of the negotiations,’ says Rob Benninghoff, director of renewable and special projects for WPSC.
