Voerde, Germany-based Winergy, a drivetrain component manufacturer for wind turbines, has completed more than 150 up-tower gearbox repairs over the last three years in 10 Central and South American countries.
In order to provide a fast response for wind turbine original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and project owners, the company notes that it has specialty tooling in stock in the region.
According to Winergy, the top five major wind OEMs use its full-service up-tower repairs and spare parts. The company offers gearboxes, HybridDrives, couplings and services to wind OEMs and owners. Its product portfolio covers power ratings between 750 kW and 9 MW.
