Windurance has introduced a new line of replaceable unit (LRU) pitch control systems for utility-scale wind turbines. With 100 MW of the new systems commissioned globally, the Servo Pitch LRUs are designed to ease installation of the pitch system in wind turbines, according to the company.
The Servo Pitch LRU was recently certified for use in high-temperature (50 degrees C) and high-humidity conditions by a third-party agency. Â
Software for the Servo Pitch LRU provides quick identification of any required service actions, and the standard maintenance interval for the system is five years, with an option for a 10-year interval, according to the company.
