WindSim has released its remote-sensing correction tool, which is designed to help users of remote-sensing devices build better wind simulation models. The module is supported by the company's new 4.9.2 version of its software.
The model was developed, WindSim says, to ensure seamless integration of the high-fidelity data being collected by these devices and to provide easy-to-use methods to leverage it in simulations.
The company completed testing during the tool's development, which correlated measurements from a traditional mast and from measurements obtained with a light detection and ranging system. The averaged relative error was reduced from 6.7% to 0.3% using the functionality in the new module, according to the company.
