German wind turbine manufacturer Fuhrlander AG has filed for insolvency in a local court.
In a statement, the company said its financial difficulties stemmed from project delays and customers' postponements of payments.
The company also said it had already taken measures to restructure, including laying off 70 employees. Fuhrlander's executive board will continue to run business during the insolvency proceedings and will take steps to maintain activities at its headquarters, the company added.
