Wind To Power Systems Inc., a provider of systems that integrate renewable power into the electric grid, has released the Cover Dip for the North American wind power market.
The Cover Dip is a voltage dip compensation system that works independently of the wind turbine and compensates for voltage dips down to zero, according to the company.
Its features include a low-voltage electrical connection, balanced and unbalanced voltage compensation, integrated electrical protection, and an integrated maintenance terminal.
The system is managed through Modbus-TCP for supervisory control and data acquisition systems, with remote access for fault diagnosis and voltage dip history.
