Minneapolis-based Westwood Renewables LLC has appointed Nathan Franzen general manager of the firm. Franzen joined Westwood Renewables in January. His experience includes business and policy development, as well as overall project management.

Previously, Franzen was the entitlement and operations manager for a development firm, where he helped grow the company from a custom home builder into a regional developer. He has a master's degree in urban and regional planning from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs and a bachelor's degree from Hamline University.
