Vestas recently announced three separate orders for undisclosed U.S. wind projects.
First, Vestas received a 454 MW order for V120-2.2 MW turbines. The order includes supply and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a 10-year service agreement, designed to ensure optimized performance for the lifetime of the project. Turbine delivery will begin in the third quarter of 2019, and commissioning is scheduled for the third quarter of 2020.
Next, Vestas received an order totaling 268 MW for a 95 MW project and a 173 MW project. The V150-4.2 MW turbines will be delivered to the same customer. The projects, including previously purchased PTC components, have total capacities of 102 MW and 198 MW, respectively. The order includes supply and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a multiyear service agreement. Deliveries and commissioning for both projects are expected in the third and fourth quarters of 2020.
Lastly, Vestas will supply V150-4.2 MW and V110-2.0 MW turbines for a project that also includes previously purchased 2 MW and 4 MW components. The 225 MW order includes supply and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a 25-year service agreement. Turbine delivery will begin in the first quarter of 2020, with commissioning scheduled for the third quarter of 2020. The project has a total nameplate capacity of 242 MW.
