To strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific (APC) region, Vestas announced last week that the current APC sales business unit (SBU) would be re-organized into two new SBUs: SBU CHI, covering China and Mongolia, and SBU ASP, covering all other APC countries, including India.
Now, Clive Turton has been appointed regional president of SBU ASP. Based in Singapore, Turton comes with more than 15 years of experience from the APC markets, says Vestas. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Asia Power Development Platform, a power generation development company established through a joint venture between Australian financial services provider Macquarie and German power generation company STEAG.
Last week, Kebao Yang, who most recently was chairman and general manager of Caterpillar (Qingzhou) Ltd., was announced as president and group senior vice president SBU CHI.
