Vestas has announced a 122 MW order from MidAmerican Energy Co., a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy, for the 2 GW Wind XI project in Iowa.
The order includes the supply and commissioning of V110-2.0 MW turbines, as well as a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.
Deliveries and commissioning of the turbines are planned for the third and fourth quarters of 2019, respectively.
In 2016, Vestas entered into a conditional agreement to provide 1,000 V110-2.0 MW turbines for the project.
