Unimar Inc., based in Clay, N.Y., has debuted the Dialight LED Beacon with integrated photocell and synchronized flasher, which uses GPS technology to flash obstruction lights in unison. This pattern is designed to be particularly suitable for a wind turbine farm and is in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements that state that all light fixtures on the turbines should flash in unison.
The Unimar Synchronized Flasher Controller is built to be resistant to shock, vibration and humidity. It is constructed of solid-state components and is integrated, along with the photocell, directly into the beacon fixture. Using GPS technology, the device provides synchronized flashing of all LED beacons connected to it.
