Offshore energy support vessel operator Seacat Services has launched the Seacat Ranger, a 24-meter, U.K.-built wind farm service vessel.
According to Seacat Services, amenities include a new bow and fender design that enhances stability when the vessel is pushing onto the wind turbine foundation. Further modifications include additional crew loading and access space near the bow to help accommodate the engineer's equipment, notes Seacat Services.
The provider says the new design will better accommodate the growing trend of larger crews aboard offshore wind transfer vessels.
