Trio Launches New Service For Offshore Wind Inspection Contracts

Natural Power, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier and SubC Partner have joined forces to launch a new service for offshore wind clients.

Officially launching at Offshore Wind Energy 2017 in London on June 6, the new service – www.Offshorewindspect.com – will offer clients a simple contracting model in which they can pick and choose from a list of inspection services under one contract.

According to the companies, it will offer lower costs and reduced contract complexity – in turn, saving time and lowering operational risk for clients.

“By coordinating the service areas of each of our organizations under one agreement, Offshorewindspect.com has the distinct advantage of being able to pass on the benefits of an agile, responsive and efficient service directly to its clients,” comments Pieter d’Haen, international director at Natural Power.

“Ongoing inspection work is vital when it comes to maintaining, repairing and maximizing output from offshore assets but often requires some of the fleet to be out of operation until work is complete,” he continues. “By combining our service offerings, we can ensure downtime is minimized by coordinating inspections through one contractual interface, reducing inspection duration, and ensuring efficient and safe operations through close communication between vessel and inspection crew, thus also driving cost-efficiencies.”
