Tres Amigas LLC has appointed Peter Esposito the company's chief commercial officer. Esposito has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry. He has represented oil and gas producers, independent power generators, convergence energy marketers, interstate and intrastate pipelines and distribution companies, and independent gas-storage providers.
Esposito has appeared before Congress, state legislatures, the Western and National Governors associations, the National Association of Regulatory Commissioners and numerous other high-level policy-making forums and has facilitated and participated in numerous collaborations with industry leaders and policymakers.
Esposito was a founding partner in the John, Hengerer & Esposito energy law firm in Washington, D.C. He joined Dynegy Inc. in 1997. In October 2010, he was appointed president of the Southwest Energy Alliance, a trade organization formed to promote the integrated development of clean energy infrastructure through the coordinated development of renewable energy resources along with backup gas-fired generation, energy storage, demand response and power transmission facilities.
Tres Amigas has proposed building a transmission hub linking the Eastern, Western and Texas interconnections.
