In a deal that broadens geographic capabilities, TNT Crane & Rigging has acquired rival crane and rigging services provider Rocky Mountain Structures (RMS). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to TNT, Denver-based RMS is one of the largest crane and rigging services companies in the Rocky Mountain region, where it serves Colorado and the surrounding states. The acquisition expands TNT's geographic coverage, end-market exposure and fleet composition with the addition of three Colorado branches and 66 cranes.
For the wind industry, RMS' equipment, man power and wind industry experience provide a broader range of wind-related services in the region. In addition to the wind industry, RMS serves the manufacturing, industrial, cell tower, power, commercial and construction markets. With access to TNT's resources and management experience, RMS will have the ability to take on new, larger and more complex projects, the company notes.
‘RMS provides TNT further geographic expansion in the western U.S. as well as end-market diversification through Colorado's broad group of industry sectors,’ says Mike Appling, CEO of TNT. ‘The depth and breadth of our combined capabilities and experience is a tremendous benefit to all of our customers.’
