The Timken Co. has announced the appointment of Douglas R. Lucas as chief engineer of wind energy application engineering for Timken's process industries business.
In this role, Lucas will lead global wind energy application development and will work with internal and external customers to develop new products. He will manage multiple wind projects and project engineering, and will lead a team in North America while working closely with other Timken engineers around the world.
Lucas joined Timken in 2000 as a product development engineer. Since then, he has held various positions of increasing responsibility, including application engineer, group leader of application engineering and manager of application engineering for wind energy.
