The Timken Co., a Canton, Ohio-based provider of friction management and power transmission products and services, has launched a new packaged, industrial magnetic encoder designed to provide increased reliability and performance, especially in high-shock and vibration conditions.
The patented THS25 magnetic encoder achieves high resolutions, from 100 to 2,560 lines, with high-speed performance and position sensing. The product comes in a rugged, compact design suited for a wide range of applications, including wind power. Its standard package includes IP50 enclosure environmental protection, and an upgrade to IP66 is available.
