Tekmar Energy, a specialist in cable protection systems (CPS) for the offshore wind industry, says that DNV GL has independently reviewed and approved the latest version of its patented TekLink CPS and Bellmouth Accessories.
According to Tekmar, the approval from DNV GL encompasses the full range of the company’s patented TekLink CPS and Bellmouths for both J-tube and J-tube less applications.
To date, Tekmar has supplied in excess of 4,500 CPS on over 42 offshore wind farm projects.
Tekmar Energy engaged with DNV GL to further establish its rigorous design and engineering standards adopted across its product offering. Alongside this workstream, Tekmar also completed its quick-connect Articulated Bend Restrictors, offering accelerated assembly on the vessel during offshore installation; a new Cable Hang-Off assembly allowing significant time-saving for both temporary and permanent works; full-scale thermal testing, demonstrating the CPS is not a limiting factor for cable output performance; and its recently wet-trailed Monopile ROV Removal Tool for CPS decommissioning.
With these new DNV GL approvals, Tekmar Energy offers a full suite of DNV GL accreditation across its entire organization, including its business management system, production and projects facilities, engineering analysis, and design and testing of the CPS itself.
