Wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon has installed its 10,000th wind turbine generator during the first half of this year.
‘This milestone reinforces the confidence our customers have in Suzlon and also in its products and project execution capabilities,’ says Tulsi Tanti, Suzlon's chairman.
In announcing the milestone, Suzlon provided a glimpse into future products and activities.Â
‘We will continuously work at reducing the cost of energy by about 15% by 2020 and heavily invest in research and development and innovation, such as the S97-120m hub height hybrid tower and the soon-to-be launched S111-2.1MW turbine,’ Tanti notes.
With over two decades of operating history, Suzlon Group has cumulative installations totaling more than 14 GW of wind energy capacity, with operations across 17 countries and a customer base of more than 1,700.
