0

Richfield, Wis.-based Strohwig Industries, a contract machining and tooling company, is expanding for the second time in three years. The company's new 36,000 square-foot expansion – on top of the 21,000 square-foot expansion a few years ago – gives Strohwig a total facility size of 182,000 square feet. This expansion will accommodate the growing contract machining sales in the wind power and mining fields.

This expansion will house a new Verus boring bar and a Ronin boring bar that have an 8-meter table. These boring bar additions will complement the purchase of a Parpas boring bar that has four heads and 16 meters of travel that was added in the last expansion. The overall cost of this expansion is approximately $8 million and incorporates some of the latest technology.
