TransAlta Corp., which has developed several wind projects in Canada, has announced that the company's president and CEO, Steve Snyder, will retire on Jan. 1, 2012.
Snyder has served as president and CEO since joining the company in 1996. Succeeding Synder is Dawn Farrell, TransAlta's chief operating officer, who has over 25 years of experience in the electric energy industry.
Farrell has served as executive vice president of corporate development, executive vice president of independent power projects, and vice president of energy marketing and independent power project development at TransAlta.
