Softree Technical Systems Inc. of North Vancouver, British Columbia, has introduced RoadEng Version 5 into the wind power development community.
Recent success in the wind industry has shown that RoadEng Version 5 is ideal for designing low-and high-volume access roads, and pads for wind farms. According to Softree, RoadEng allows interactive balance volumes to maximize savings in earthwork, while ensuring road safety to allow safe transport of wind towers to sites.
RoadEng also works well with large data sets, such as LiDAR or DEM files. RoadEng is currently used by more than 1,000 companies in North America and internationally, including several wind power developers.
