Newfoundland Labrador Hydro, a Nalcor Energy company, has granted commercial in-service certification to Toronto-based SkyPower Corp.'s 27 MW Fermeuse Wind Power Project, located in Fermeuse, Newfoundland.
‘Newfoundland and Labrador has a world-class wind resource that is being leveraged for the benefit of electricity customers,’ says Jim Haynes, vice president of regulated operations for Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro. ‘The Fermeuse Wind Power Project will bring more clean and cost-effective power to Newfoundland and Labrador, further reducing air emissions and helping the environment.’
The Fermeuse Wind Power Project consists of nine 3 MW Vestas V90 wind turbines.
