Siemens has named Jacob Andersen CEO of its Americas onshore wind power and renewables business.
Andersen succeeds Mark Albenze, who was recently selected to lead Siemens' global wind service business. Prior to assuming this new position, Andersen was vice president of wind power at Siemens Canada.
Andersen joined Siemens in 2003 for the installation of the Nysted offshore wind park in Denmark. Following various positions, he was appointed director of wind service for the Americas region in 2010. In October 2012, he assumed responsibility for Siemens' wind power activities in Canada.
Andersen will be based at Siemens' Americas renewables headquarters in Orlando, Fla.
