Siemens has appointed Mark Albenze the new global CEO of its wind service business. Albenze succeeds Tim Holt, who is taking over new responsibilities within Siemens.
Previously, Albenze served as CEO of Siemens' onshore wind power division in the Americas from 2011 to 2014. He joined Siemens in 1998 and has held various positions in marketing, business development, supply management and sales in the U.S. and South America. Under his new position, Albenze will be based in the global headquarters for Siemens' power generation services division in Orlando, Fla.
Siemens says it currently provides service and maintenance for more than 7,600 installed wind turbines globally, with a combined generating capacity of approximately 18 GW.
