Siemens Energy Inc. has appointed Jim Jones director of wind turbine blade manufacturing for the Americas, which includes the company's Fort Madison, Iowa, and Tillsonburg, Ontario, operations.
A retiree of the U.S. Air Force, Jones has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility in the aircraft and power-generation industries. He first joined Siemens in 2001 at the Houston Service Center as superintendent of quality assurance. In 2004, he was appointed plant operations manager, and in 2006, he was promoted to his current position as director of the Houston Service Center.
