Halifax, Nova Scotia-based Shear Wind Inc. has appointed Bill Bartlett chief financial officer (CFO) of the company. Bartlett joined the company in 2006 and has held the position of vice president of finance and corporate affairs since that time.
Prior to joining Shear Wind, Bartlett held various senior financial and management positions within the seafood, hotel, airline and aerospace industries. He has a degree from the University of New Brunswick and is a certified management accountant.
‘We are delighted that Mr. Bartlett has agreed to act as chief financial officer, and look forward to his leadership and guidance,’ says Mike Magnus, president and CEO of Shear Wind. ‘His background and experience, and most recently in the renewable energy sector, will bring valuable direction in strategic planning and execution as we move forward.’
In addition, Gary MacKenzie has resigned as CFO of the company. The board of directors offers its thanks and appreciation to MacKenzie for his efforts in helping to build Shear Wind. He will continue to act as a director of the company.
