Turbine manufacturer Senvion is jumping into the low-wind market with the introduction of the 3.2M122 this spring.
The machine features the recently introduced Next Electrical System and is suited for low-wind sites. With a larger rotor operating at taller hub heights, the machine can offer higher yields compared to other turbine models.
According to Senvion, the additional output from a 3.2 MW turbine will enable customers to grow yield by 2% to 3% per year when compared to its 3.0M122 turbine type.
