Seeger-Orbis, a global manufacturer of retaining rings and a subsidiary of Barnes Group Inc. has introduced the 3,000 mm retaining ring for the wind power industry. The 3,000 mm ring is part of the company's Tempest series, which is manufactured in Germany.
Launched in 2009, Tempest retaining rings are used in various turbine applications, including the gearbox, pitch system, main bearing, yaw system, brake system and generator.
All Tempest retaining rings meet TS 16949 Certified Quality Assurance system specifications and are manufactured in-house from high-grade spring steels.
