Sany Electric has introduced the SE11030III-S, a 3 MW wind turbine that is designed specifically for marine wind generation platforms. The structure can withstand up to 95 mph winds, and components were chosen for high salt spray and heavy moisture corrosion resistance, according to the company.
The SE11030III-S wind turbines are designed to meet International Organization for Standardization, American National Standards Institute, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration related standards.
The SE11030III-S has a 360-foot diameter rotor, and the blades have a variable pitch angle for maximum power generation, according to Sany Electric. The tower is available in heights of 295 feet and 328 feet, and system weights have been minimized for easy transportation and installation, according to the company.
