Cable seal provider Roxtec has introduced its ComSeal 15/3, which is designed for power cables ranging in size from 28 mm to 43 mm that are used for converters, generators and cabinets.
‘Turbine manufacturers supplying global industries such as the wind power sector want to standardize with flexible cable sealing solutions in order to cope with varying cable makes and tolerances,’ says Robert Stubb, head of Roxtec's wind power division.
Roxtec's ComSeal 15/3 and the ComSeal 30/6, which is expected to be launched later this year, contain new Roxtec CM 50 modules.
The Roxtec ComSeal15/3 is tested and approved for IP 55. It will also be released in an EMC version, approved for IP 54. The seal is supplied in kits and can be attached to the inside or outside of a structure, which simplifies installation work in areas filled with equipment, according to the company.
