Romax Technology says it has released an updated version of its gearbox analysis software specifically for wind turbine drivetrains.
According to Romax, the updated software includes productivity and feature enhancements, including the Concept Modeller option, which allows the analysis of the basic properties required to evaluate many gearbox design concepts and select those that merit more detailed study.
The company says that designers can create gearboxes using conventional "stick-diagrams,’ which are then generated into two-dimensional and three-dimensional representations for further analysis.
