Raycap, a manufacturer of electrical protection products, says it has improved the performance of its Strikesorb product line.
According to Raycap, the Strikesorb 40 SPD products are engineered to protect vulnerable electronic equipment against electrical damage caused by overvoltage events and lightning strikes. The maximum impulse current specification that the product can withstand has been increased to 12.5 kA, per the IEC's 61643-1:2005 standard.
The Post Falls, Idaho-based company says that independent testing has validated its improvement in the maximum impulse current of its surge protection product line.
According to Raycap, all products in the Strikesorb product series have been tested and certified as Class I surge protection devices per the IEC 61643-1:2005 standard.
