Overland Park, Kan.-based Black & Veatch, a global engineering, consulting and construction company, has announced that Jon Pietruszkiewicz has joined its global energy business as a project manager.
‘Jon's experience and leadership in the industry further enhances our team of energy experts as we work with clients, government entities and communities to deliver vital renewable energy infrastructure and resources,’ says Kurt Westermann, vice president and director of renewable energy at Black & Veatch.
Pietruszkiewicz is a recognized energy industry expert with more than 25 years of experience. Prior to joining Black & Veatch, he held senior-level positions with an international engineering and construction company, where he managed projects and business development related to all types of advanced energy technologies.
He began his career designing geothermal power plants and conducting energy conservation planning for one of the largest U.S. investor-owned utilities. More recently, he helped create a renewable energy project development and performance contracting company and was the associate director for deployment at a national renewable energy laboratory.
Pietruszkiewicz has a master's degree in business administration for project and construction management from Golden Gate University in California. He received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from California State University, Chico.
