Teaneck, N.J.-based Hudson Clean Energy Partners has announced that Mike O'Neill will join the company to assist in the launch of a newly formed renewable energy company. O'Neill will occupy a senior leadership role in Element Power, which will operate as an independent power producer focused on utility-scale wind and solar energy projects.

Element has begun acquiring assets for its generation portfolio and expects to create a portfolio of greenfield and brownfield assets in major growth markets for renewable energy around the world.

O'Neill helped lead the evolution of Renewable Energy Systems (RES) Group into a multi-national renewable energy producer with almost 3,000 MW of projects built throughout the world. In addition, O'Neill spent several years leading many of the project finance and international joint venture activities for RES.

‘Hudson is dedicated to building the Element Power platform into a market leader,’ says Neil Auerbach, founder and co-managing partner of Hudson.
