Osceola, Wis.-based Northwire Inc. has introduced resilience cables for wind turbine applications. The cables are Underwriters Laboratories and wind turbine tray cable (WTTC) approved and National Fire Protection Agency 79 (12.2.2) rated for constant flex and high performance.
Northwire's resilience cables have a torsional and bend high-flex-life and have been proven to exceed Northwire's cold-bend test at temperatures as low as -40 degrees C, according to the company.
Resilience cables are available in AWM 300 V, 600 V and WTTC-rated 1000 V standard configurations.
