Barre, Vt.-based Northern Power Systems Inc. has appointed William E. Decker chief human resources (HR) officer. The appointment continues Northern's progression toward becoming a major commercial force in the wind power industry, according to the company.
Decker brings more than 25 years of experience as a global HR executive, most recently from National Life Group, where he held the position of senior vice president of human resources.

Decker has a master's of business administration degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a bachelor's degree in industrial relations and management from Seton Hall University, where he received the medal of academic excellence.
