The Nordex Group has established a national representative office in Melbourne, Australia, in order to meet the growing demand for Australian wind, the company says.
Currently, Nordex is installing a 44-turbine, 132 MW wind farm in the country. In total, the company has installed or is building Australian wind farms with a capacity of 370 MW.
According to Nordex, the market is witnessing high and growing demand. In addition, the Victorian government aims to boost the share of renewable energy from 25% by 2020 to 40% by 2025.
The new branch office will focus on the commissioning and subsequent servicing of the wind turbines, says Nordex. The team based in Melbourne primarily comprises experts in the fields of project management and service.
