ABO Wind, an international developer headquartered in Germany, has placed another order with Nordex for a wind project in Finland.
Following the customer’s nine-turbine order in November, the new order comprises three N131/3000s for the Muntila wind project, located in the western part of the country.
Starting in September, Nordex will supply the machines and install them on 114-meter steel towers. Notably, in order to maximize yield, the company will be setting up the cold-climate version of the turbine.
ABO Wind has also signed a premium service contract, through which Nordex will cover maintenance of the wind farm for a period of 12 years.
In 2016, Nordex installed turbines with a capacity of around 130 MW in Finland – representing a market share of 22%.
