An undisclosed independent power producer has signed a contract with the Nordex Group for production tax credit (PTC)-qualifying wind components corresponding to a value of $32 million.
The manufacturer says it has already begun executing the order, featuring the AW3000 turbine. In turn, says Nordex, the customer can obtain the full tax benefit of $0.023/kWh (according to the Internal Revenue Service’s safe harbor requirements mandating that work begins in 2016).
However, most of the execution of the order is expected to take place in 2018, says Nordex.
