NextEra Energy Resources has put a halt to the permitting process for its 150 MW Hyde County Wind Energy Center in South Dakota.
According to a Bloomberg report, the company told the U.S. Department of Energy to suspend the environmental review process for the project until NextEra finds a customer for the power output of the project. A company spokesperson told Bloomberg that it may resume work on the wind farm later, but that would necessitate another environmental review.
