ZAZZ Engineering has introduced a technology designed to keep the inner nacelle of a wind turbine virtually moisture-free and to eliminate corrosion caused by seawater.
Called the Moisture Rejection Closure (MRC), the product aims to keep moisture and dust larger than 15 nm from entering the nacelle. The MRC is designed to automatically close during a fire, allowing the fire suppressant to be contained inside the nacelle.
During wind turbine downtime, the MRC performs as a weather closure, eliminating ingress of outside conditions, the company adds.
