Navigant has announced that Dr. Bruce W. Perlstein and Dr. Ken Seiden have joined the firm's energy practice as directors.
Perlstein has more than 25 years of experience consulting on energy and financial risk management, policy and valuation-related issues, and his clients have included dozens of energy industry and financial services firms, multilateral agencies – including the World Bank – and governments in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Latin America and East Asia.
Since 2003, Perlstein's work has focused on integrated resource planning; renewable power integration and project evaluations; design and evaluation of the impact and cost effectiveness of dynamic pricing and smart-grid-enabled energy-efficiency and demand-response resources; and valuations of derivatives and complex financial securities. He will be based out of Navigant's San Francisco office.
Seiden brings 25 years of strategic planning and quantitative analytics expertise for utilities to Navigant. He specializes in energy-efficiency and demand-response planning, evaluation and cost-effectiveness analysis; energy, peak and end-use forecasting; market planning and segmentation; and pricing. He will be based out of the firm's Boulder, Colo., office.
