San Francisco-based renewable energy company NaturEner USA LLC has announced that it has closed on a $132 million construction facility arranged by Morgan Stanley and Lisbon, Portugal-based Banco Espirito Santo for NaturEner's Glacier 1 wind farm outside Ethridge, Mont. The wind farm will be put into service in November and will consist of 71 1.5 MW wind turbines, with a capacity of 106.5 MW.
With the closing of the construction financing, NaturEner has also successfully secured commitments for approximately $190 million of long-term financing for Glacier 1 with Morgan Stanley, Banco Esp’rito Santo and Banco Sabadell S.A. of Spain.
Following the completion of the Glacier 1 wind farm, NaturEner plans to complete the Glacier 2 wind farm, which will have a capacity of 103.5 MW using the same model turbine, adjacent to Glacier 1.
