National Securities Corp., a subsidiary of National Holdings Corp., has expanded its investment banking group into alternative energy and clean tech with the appointment of Dan Nicholas, Paul Manzano and Kevin Brooks as managing directors.
‘We intend to focus our efforts in providing capital and advisory services to companies in the biofuels, wind, solar, water filtration and clean transportation sectors,’ says Brian Friedman, head of investment banking.
Most recently associated with Pali Capital's alternative energy and clean tech practice in New York, Nicholas has also held positions at Salomon Brothers, WH Reaves and Foresight Research Solutions.
Prior to joining National, Manzano was a managing director at Pali Capital's alternative energy and clean tech practice. He has also held positions with William Blair & Co. and Focus LLC.
Brooks has over 14 years of Wall Street experience, having worked at such firms as Merrill Lynch in corporate and institutional client group services, Robinson Humphrey in equity research, and Kevin Dann & Partners.
