NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. has appointed Michael J. O'Connor as president and CEO of NaiKun Wind Generation Inc., a NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. and ENMAX joint venture.
The company also named Jack E. Scott vice president of commercial operations for NaiKun Wind Development Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of NaiKun Wind Energy Group.
Currently, O'Connor is project director for the Canada Line Rapid Transit Project with SNC-Lavalin. He is responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of the C$1.7 billion transit project before the 2010 Winter Olympics. O'Connor will remain Canada Line project director for the next several months as he makes the transition to NaiKun Wind Generation.
Scott most recently served as vice president of corporate development at Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. (AECL), where he was responsible for developing partnerships within the nuclear energy industry. Prior to AECL, Scott spent 10 years developing major infrastructure projects and technology businesses worldwide at Canadian multinational engineering and construction company AGRA Inc., now AMEC Inc.
