Wind gear manufacturer and service provider Moventas has announced two new appointments regarding its global management team.
Mikko Viitala has been named the company's chief financial officer (CFO), as well as a member of the general management team and board of directors. Viitala, who previously worked in several senior financial management positions in Finnish steel and steel construction company Rautaruukki, will take over for CFO Veli Kronqvist.
Kronqvist will reach his contractual retirement age in 2014 and retire thereafter. He will continue with Moventas until his retirement in senior consultancy and financial management projects.
In addition, Moventas' chief technological officer (CTO), Niels Hammer, has also been appointed a member of the general management team. Hammer, who joined Moventas from Siemens, was appointed Moventas' CTO in the beginning of this year.
