Mistaya Engineering Releases Windographer 2.0

Calgary, Alberta-based Mistaya Engineering Inc. has announced a new release of Windographer, the company's flagship wind data analysis software. Windographer is used worldwide to analyze wind resource data measured by met towers, and light detection and ranging or sonic detection and ranging technologies.

The centerpiece of Windographer 2.0 is a new quality-control system that lets users highlight, classify and filter data by applying user-defined flags to data segments. Users can apply flags both through visual inspection and with formal search rules, and then include or exclude flagged data from calculations, graphs and export files.

Flag rules can catch problems such as icing and tower shading in seconds, and teams can share flag rules to ensure consistency, according to the company. Filter settings are explicit and intuitive, and every flag operation is recorded and reversible.

Windographer 2.0 is available in four editions: student, basic, standard and professional. A new website, windographer.com, allows customers to download a free trial, view demo videos, compare editions and purchase directly online.
